Vicki Davis: Harness Your Students' Digital Smarts

"Teacherpreneur" was a word used by Vicki Adams in the video. This implies to me that she is a teacher that excels in whatever she loves to do. A teacher that is open to new ideas. This video is an inspiration. It lets me see the future as to what I would like for my classes to become. The technology that is brought to this class in a rural area is astounding. Most rural areas are closed off to the outside world but Ms. Adams brings the world to them.
Connecting your students to the world is an important task we (teachers) face in the future. Technology is the tool in getting the students connected.

  1. You must put all parts of a Blog Post assignment into ONE post. It takes far too much of our time to read and comment on your posts when the parts are separated. If time elapses between when you do the parts, just save the post and come back and edit it later adding another part to the assignment. That way will work for you and me!

Please correct in the future. I will leave all comments for all parts of this assignment here.

Do you consider Mobile and Baldwin counties to be "closed off" to the rest of the world. If you go by the use of technology to connect students and teachers throughout the world then they certainly fit in the closed off category! I guess they must be rural!

I think we think everyone can be educated. But I beg to differ!

Sir Robinson would also probably think your accent is amusing. Alluring? I'm afraid to guess. You need to work on your writing. Go back over the paragraph on Robinson and see if you can tell why I say that.

    You are disturbed about India?

Here's an assignment that requires only a few simple Google searches:
    1. What is the school population of India?
What is the school population of the United States?

    2. Let's assume the top 25% of students are defined as being honor students.
How many honor students are there in India?
How many in the United States?
How many total students are there in the United States?

Does seem a bit different after answering the questions?
